A Humble Hero

This guy is the epitome of an American hero. First living Medal of Honor recipient since the Vietnam era.

A Humble Hero

Sounds like he deserves it, and he had someone watching over him as well.

A Humble Hero

Saw the presentation on NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and also an interview with Brian Williams. He felt it belonged to all the people serving with him. I felt he deserves it.

A Humble Hero

I was quite impressed by this man when I watched the interview the other night. He was described as "humble and heroic" (and he WAS). Oh, that more people would demonstrate those two qualities.

A Humble Hero

:) My wife and I had the privilege of being in a PGR flag line for his welcome home to Iowa in Des Moines on 11/23/10! He gave an impromptu speech that would bring anyone to tears. He is quiet, humble, and as much of a hero as anyone I have ever read about. Makes you know all is not lost, yet!
