Orofino Update
Off to a great start here in Orofino. Lots of people and a great venue. First group ride this morning! Bud and I had a great time on our fly-fishing trip yesterday and caught lots of really nice Cutthroat Trout....

All is good in Orofino! Good rides today and great camaraderie on the patio. Even Scott was in the spirit, given the fact his team lost BIG in our Super Bowl bet. He adorned his Barney-Davidson with Seahawk emblems and has displayed them proudly. He may not have the best bike, but he has the best teams logo on it. Schoeney and I are very much appreciative of his humble acknowledgment..

Scott took me to the #1 rated (out of 95) restaurant in Lewiston. The lunch box Deli & BBQ. Just a little hole on the wall but it was fantastic! Homemade chips, beef brisket, homemade coleslaw, very friendly people brought us homemade baked beans to go with our chips, then brought us the best peach cobbler I've ever had in my life. The cobbler and the baked beans we're on the house because this was our first time eating there. They asked us to put some kind words on TripAdvisor for them because they are trying to get on Diners Drive ins and Dives.
Scott was first class in paying off the bet. I do not no why Brad calls him he "Cheap Bastard"??:cool:

While Joel could not be here....he sent a $50.00 bill with Teri Conrad to deliver to me to cover lunch or dinner for my wife and I to settle our Super Bowl wager. Total class move on his part and very much appreciated. Joel and "Cheap Bastard" can never be used in the same sentence...at least not by me...
.On the ride side, I led a small group to the summit of Lolo Pass, where Bud caught up to us with 3 other riders at the Visitors Center. He continued to lead the group to Jacks Saloon while Tricia and I returned westward, stopping just below the summit at Lochsa Lodge for a great lunch. We had a long day yesterday and wanted to get back a little sooner today. It was 103 degrees coming down the Clearwater Canyon back to Orofino ...scorching hot.
