how many cans of the colorite aerosol did it take to paint them? i figure i would need 2 cans of base coat and 2 cans of clear. bill

For just painting the lowers, one aerosol can of paint and one aerosol can of clear give you way more than enough. Ditto for the primer. I have plenty of Titanium paint and clear left. Trunk maybe next?

I believe you will find they will work fine. By design I limited the space that my lowers rap the top bar is only about 3 1/2" with a sweep back radius design. They will come close but work fine. I like Chuckster's lowers too!

I have some good news. I have designed larger storage compartments that can double as speaker mounts. The existing hole is large enough to place a 5 1/4" speaker and by request up to a 6 1/2" speaker. I have also been able to keep cost contained by gang making different parts at same time, which is always good news.

For those that have previously purchased my lowers with the standard box, I will be sending a special notice to you on how to upgrade if you wish.

I test fit the set I won as a door prize at the Southeastern Rally (THANK YOU JOHN!) and they cleared my chuckster lowers. Now to paint and mount them. I will probably have to wait because it is too humid to paint around here now.

is the price on the speaker box the same as the glove box?
Nice looking set up - I was waiting on this speaker add-on.

Now all I need, is to add some speakers to the rear trunk - anyone make an add on for the VIP trunk?

I was finally able to order a set. With the hard lowers, is it necessary to have the fork lowers, or is that something that will still help?

I bought a set from John at the SE rally.... I didn't get to win them, so I had to shell out my hard earned money for them! ::)

Still haven't has a chance to put them on the bike. I want to paint them first.

I got a set off of a Harley last year and never could get them to fit. But since they were free I didn't loose anything...

If / when I get them painted I'll mount them.... or should I say, if the temp gets under 99 degrees I'll get-round-to-it!

The speaker enclosures are a good idea, Ive found that just having two speakers in the fairing isn't quite enough on the highway. Im thinking of making something up to use the compartments on my lower fairings someday.

Can someone comment on how these lowers change the wind dynamics if any? Does it lessen the buffeting?
