We'll see how she does.
I bought the Voyager back in Mar with 33000 miles on it.
Only took a short ride up in Phoenix before the purchase.
I have ridden a lot of bikes and I have to say I love the way the Voyager rides.
Weather was mild and needless to say the engine temp seemed normal.
I was very disappointed to see how hot it runs with the desert temps so high.
I agree that Kawasaki should have never put a steam gauge on the Voyager because I am more distracted by the temp reading than a teenager with a new cell phone.
Right now I have stock exhaust and I'll try it after Ivanized ECU installed to see if I like it.
I don't like loud exhaust, it makes my tinnitus more noticeable, but may have to upgrade if necessary.
Ill keep you posted.
Welcome and Congratulations!
Let us know how it works out, the VAST majority of us love being IVANized.

Ride safe,
Smokier

Ok, I have not posted in a couple years but I believe when credit is due, say something. I sent my ECU to Ivan's last Sat. They called me Monday to say it was done and on its way back to me in Florida. It arrived yesterday and reinstalled same. If you have a Voyager like me or Vaquero, find the money and get this done. It's practically a new bike! Worth every penny and the service was the best. Thanks Ivan and all who were involved. Happy customer!!!

Watch eBay.... Trashed and crashed rides frequently are parted out there...

Ride Safe,

I received my ECU back from Ivan yesterday.
While I was waiting I installed a set of Cobra Tri Flo slipons
What a difference, its awesome!
It's got so much more power and it runs cooler.
I'll take a trip today to see how she does during extended highway speeds and while riding on steep mountain grades.
before the reflash, the engine temp would gradually climb on steep grades
Exhaust is too loud so next project is to play with some baffles and see if I can tame the noise.

Something is wrong with your bike or your wrist. I come from HD and have already spanked 3or 4 HD's with my vaquero. You should easily take over after about 40-50 mph.

I waited until my 2014 Nomad was broken in and took the hour drive down to Ivan’s to get his flash for my ECU. All I can say is WOW! The real 1700 has been unleashed. My wife and I put 170 or so miles on it.
The low speed bogging and twist to response delay was gone. The deceleration popping, the 5th gear cruising vibrations, and the engine surging were all gone. I’m not to sure about engine temp as it was below 60 degrees and I was kinda hoping the engine would be hot.
I reset the mpg after the install and just with 170 miles it went from the 37-38 I always get to 41-42 but I will see better with more miles. The motor itself runs so much smoother it is amazing. The engine pulls through every gear smoothly and effortlessly. Low speed maneuvering is no longer a stressful task. The bike responds as commanded; making parking lots easy. Even riding on the street the bike feels so much better. The loss of surging and throttle delay makes it much more stable through turns and in traffic. My wife said she could feel the difference in the ride as well.
I have to thank Ivan for releasing the true potential the Vulcan is capable of. I could not be happier with my new bike.

You won't have time for handshakes... your arms will be needed to keep a firm grip on the bars.
