05 nomad 1600 empty connector under seat by ecu?

I'Ive checked my manual and can't find it. Under my seat by the ecu there is a plug with 4 or so wires in it going to nothing. Just wondering if anyone knows what this plug is for. It is towards the bottom of the battery box. Thanks

It's just a 12v aux aux power source. There one in the head light bucket too.

I see the aux power source. But I also have a black plug with 4 wires going into it that doesn't connect to anything. I found it in the manual but it doesn't say what it is. It's more visible when the battery is out

Maybe it is for dealer purposes like the port on a vehicle.

if you have an old zumo 550 laying on the shelf not being used, connect that old zumo up to that aux lead you got there and plan a nice summer trip using that gps, that is what i plan to do with my old 2005 zumo, i want to ride to ontario and cross over into canada at buffalo, i want to go visit that site where those 8 bandido bikers were murdered, some family and friends placed some rosary crosses on the old wooden fence post where the bodies where discovered, i want to go visit that site

The four-pin connector under the seat is the Kawasaki Diagnostic System Connector.

It is used only by a dealer/service center which has the equipment to plug into this connection.

The four wires are as follows:

Light Blue
Blue
Brown
Brown/Red

If you have the service manual you can find it on page 16-19 in the upper right corner of the wiring diagram.

Cheers!

OK thanks. I'm gonna use a switched wire in that harness so I don't have to splice into any of my wiring.

You have 2 in your bucket that are switched (for spot lights), then 2 under the tank. These are for accessories....

The four wires in the diagnostic connector all feed into the ECU.
I would strongly recommend that you NOT use any of those wires to feed anything.
