ok so I have about 66,000 on my bike after reading this I'm really starting to think about getting the extenders. so how hard is it to install one?

What MAS Said! I just normally unscrew the pot off the adjuster and see how much of the shaft is still visable....do it at least 2 times a year.
Thay way when she starts getting long in the tooth, I'll then pull the plug tube.... MAS is right, just don't throw them in just for shits and giggles, wait till you need them. I only change them when needed....but I start looking at that adjuster shaft at about 45,000.....and keep a eye on it till it needs it. I've seen a couple of guys need it at 47,000 but they road the crap outta them....I've also seen then last till engine rebuild time, if the owner oampers them....

I did mine at 60,000 kms and one adjuster had no travel left. The other one had a couple of clicks left on the mechanism.
