Nope, she enjoys the sight seeing too much to ride her own.

I am in the same boat...she doesn't want to ride her own, which is good for me because that is one less thing for me to worry about

The solution for the Nomad is a bat wing or similar but I have never ridden with one. For those that have ridden with the stock shield and a fork mounted fairing on a Nomad is there much difference?

I realize there are other differences between them but those are the things that matter to me/us.
I'd vote for the Vaq as well. IMHO the fairing looks better than the windshield. Probably better MPG's with a fairing than a big shield. The passenger pillion and grab rails can be easily added for her comfort.
Ride safe,

Not sure if everyone else was ignoring it or if it went over their heads. :)

Well, glad you were able to make a decision that you both can be happy with. The Voyager us also a great bike. And if you choose to, you can make the trunk removable for those times you ride solo. There are several people on here that have done it. It takes a little work, and there are a couple different ways to go about it. But the result is really sharp. Good luck and ride safe.

I drove both. I have the 1600 with a fairing and tour pack. My friend has the Vaq. I was able to take his on a hundred mile run one day and loved the acceleration and power of the bike compared to mine but that was the end of it. I like the lower ride height of mine and am partial to the batwing fairing and sound of the motor. All comes down to personal preference and taste. Cannot go wrong with either

I had a 1600 Nomad, then a Voyager. My wife preferred the Nomad saying the Voyager was too cramped. I preferred the Voyager for its creature comforts, cruise, radio, trunk, lower fairings. The Voyager was subsequently sold because it got too heavy for me. I now ride a 1300 V Star Tourer.
