Full Replacement LED Headlight for Voyager/Vaquero in Under an Hour

My thought is to maybe trim a little fat on the adjustment screw tabs but that was never mentioned in the installation post from xlock and the YouTube video is really no help

Nice work xlock! Looks great- appreciate the detailed write up! Been putting off LED replacement due to what I thought was a complex procedure.

Thanks gents!

Sorry I haven't been on here much at all in a while; to answer Skullbaggers question waaay late...I slightly enlarged the holes on the back side of the outer most headlight housing to fit over the larger hardware diameter

I purchased and installed the JW Speaker 8700 Evo II chrome headlight with the matching #3156351 mounting ring as per your detailed instructions on my 2012 1700 Voyager. Only thing I had to to was trim all of the protruding areas of the trim ring to allow the stock trim ring to sit down properly to fit under the chrome headlight shroud. The look is outstanding.
Just a note, I tried to save some money the first time and bought a generic mounting bracket, that was a waste of money and time, the mounting ring was about a 1/2” to long and would not allow the mounting of trim ring to come lose close be used.

Has anyone tried to mount the JW Speaker 8700 2 in a Nomad 1500?

I did something a little different from everybody else, I welded the stock ring to the jw speaker ring ( C/C ) tapped and threaded small holes to accept the tiny screw that holds the headlamp surround to the jw speaker ring, installedJ nuts on the fairing to accept the screws from the factory headlamp ring along with some aluminum spacers between the ring and fairing,
and blacked it all out.
looks amazing

Still in the contemplation stages. Really like the LED spots I have so am very tempted to do the headlight as well. Manufacturers don't list our bikes in the fitment, and JW Speaker prefers that you speak to your dealer which is hard to find north of the border.

Denali also has the M7 which may be an option as well and is available a couple of hours away. Pricey in CAN funds though. Over $600 with taxes.

Hence the contemplation...

May try a PIAA H4 bulb first for about 50 bucks.
