2015 Kawasakis

I got the requisite email from Kawasaki that the 2015 models are out. Didn't see a 2015 nomad and the Voyager is offered in one color scheme. The Vaquero is offered in black and green with flames. Seems like they dialed back a bit. I'd like to know how they decide on colors. Flames? In the face of growing competition, it seems they wither. Times have changed. On the plus side, prices have dropped.

Damn! Except for the flames, that was what I was going to do to my bike. All green. Now I have to come up with something to set it apart...maybe a big spoiler that doesn't do anything...

And decal flames to boot. I wonder if there is a way to take off the decals without ruining the paint?

I too noticed there was not a Nomad, I wonder if it's gone for good now. It's always been pretty difficult to find one in at a dealer around here.

The concours wasn't refreshed either. I wonder if they will publish later or are they holding up production until old stock clears inventory?

I didn't notice the Concours, but that is very interesting as well, and maybe that is the case that they agree waiting for stock on 2014 bikes to run out.

It doesn't matter too much to me anymore after a lot of research and test riding we will be upgrading to the Harley Ultra as soon as we can.

My Nomad has 83000 and rolling. I'm mostly just curious and was wanting to see if they were going to push back, but I guess not.

Seems a lot of folks went to HD or Victory. I went with BMW. I still like Kawasaki and my first 4 bikes were from team green. I just don't see anything from them that says buy me.

Yeah I like both a lot, and have also been very happy with my Nomad, even with having to replace or fix just about everything since purchasing it. But Kawasaki just isn't keeping up and my next purchase is most likely going elsewhere.

Harley just laid down the gauntlet with the Project Rushmore stuff last year, it's obvious they are taking the competition seriously and that speaks volumes. I will always be a V-twin guy and nowadays it's comfort and convenience on the long hauls that matters to me and the Ol' Lady.

I am not done with my Nomad yet but, after next season I will be buying an Indian Roadmaster. I am digging the new Indians and would suggest anyone in the market to test ride one. Kawasaki has changed nothing in several years while most other brands are at least making a few new models every year.

The roadmaster is above my pay grade and in that price range there are some interesting choices. For me, I can only have one bike and it has to be versatile. If I was adding a bike, it would change what I would get. I wish I had kept my Nomad as a second bike, but it didn't happen. We'll see what happens the next time around.

I bought my 2006 Nomad new in '06. I won't be buying another bike at my age. When I can't handle the Nomad anymore that will be the end of my bike riding.

Still, it's two bad that Kawasaki seems to not be very interested in the market anymore.

Here's the link for others.
Note that just under the picture, is the text: NEW FOR 2015! More to come.

The H-2 supercharged ninja is still to come at the end of the month. The concours is usually not announced until October (not sure why).

I know HD's website was a mess for nearly a week when they announced the 15's.

You would think a companies of the size of Kaw and HD they would hire a company to manage their website flawlessly... but apparently not.
Kind of like Barry did with the Ocare website?
