Yea Chicago in the morning and evening are a Pain on the bike.
Wife and I went there to see family a few years ago and between construction (which is 24/7/365... BTW) traffic and just plain stupid drivers, it was not a pleasant trip on the bike.
We were on the 80/94 and the 294 however.

There aren't any good times to go through Chicago. Between traffic and construction, it's miserable.

Jared,

Looked at your website and saw your packing list. Have to ask you about 1 item

COMB????

You don't have enough hair to use a comb. Well, at least on your head.

WOW! I am so jealous! I have SO MANY more states to ride in before I can even come close to the 46 you have ridden in!!!!

We just came back from our trip to Maine, but we didn't go far enough in to recommend anything.

Be safe!

I can't imagine riding all that way and not meeting up with Mac somewhere. That would make the whole trip.... Have fun Jared and ride safe my friend. We are still in BC returning from the Canadian Rockies Rally, which was one of the best yet for me personally. Just had a fabulous week in Alberta and really hated to have to leave. I'm bummed you couldn't make it up. Bud had a great time too. He rode up to Jasper and came back with stars in his eyes....!

Are you kidding? No way I'd miss meeting Man. In fact, I'm planning on spending the night in his spare room. It will probably the highlight of the trip!

Thank you very much. We have family in Edinboro and in Pittsburgh, so if I run into any problems while in that area, I'll keep you in mind.

Just this month one of my riding buddies from Canada finished riding in all 48 of the lower states. That is very impressive and I hope you have good luck on your adventure.
He rides a 2005 Gold Wing and when he travels he runs in the high rps if you know what I mean.
Most importantly have a safe trip.
