If you're close enough to be able to provide a bike to use, perhaps they'll give you a deep discount on it?

On their Facebook page they said the 1700 nomad will be available in ~2 weeks as of 30 March. Sweet!!! I would expect by end of month, if the C50 rollout timeframe was any indication.

I'm thinking about going with a batwing till I get my faring done.
The way things are going it will be the middle of the summer before I get mine done are reckless farings abs or fiberglass?

Website says fiberglass. I will be waiting for this, priced it with color rite paint and with the discount it will grand total at 823.25 before shipping. I can do that! I did use the Nomad 1600 as the base price, it probably won't be too different.

If it is glass. I think I will go with one
I can rework the inner to my liking and have it done and on the bike in a couple of weeks I was looking at a harley faring on e-bay but the inner is ABS and would require way more work to do what i want. I would only save about $100.00. I think I can get most of my money back out of the reckless when I sell it so may as well go that route

Apparently you can request they don't cut out the speaker holes...there will be indents. I plan on getting the 4 speaker option with only 2 speakers cutout, that way I am going to mount my RAM mount for the GPS and have some switch space.

I have a 2 din stereo with gps,dvd ipod,phone stereo bluetooth, all the whistles and bells. Im going to make my own cover with shade flaps. maybe use the backup camera for mirrors. had all this stuff for my faring I'm building. Be a shame not to use it

The reckless fairing is gel-coated fiberglass.
