98 VN1500 fuel pump question
After installing the SOG and rebuilding carbs. I was able to get the engine running. Idles and revs good, with no strange noises. Radiator fan cycles on and off. So it looks like I will continue with the restore.
I'm questioning why this bike has a fuel pump. It appears the carburetor float chambers are about 3" below the fuel tank. Is this too little drop for adequate gravity fuel flow? Has anyone here tried riding without the pump? Login or Register to Remove Ads
