Took this pic in the shop this evening. I can't believe that I didn't consider the riser when I started asking questions. From the pic it is clear to me that the only windscreen bags that will work are the ones that sit above the windshield bracket and that have the mount that slip down between the bracket and the windscreen. Makes the choice easy.

I think that will do it for me Tom with the new mounting system. A black Nomad. Nice.

Well I received the Hopnel tri bag and as soon as I unwrapped it I pretty much knew it wouldn't fit. The bags are just a lot bigger than shown in pics. Nice and sturdy though.

A trip out to my shop confirmed it. My risers are the issue. The center bag would fit fine but the side bags won't fit down in between the handlebars/controls and the wind screen.

All is not lost though. I was surprised at how big the center bag is, every bit the size of the Triumph back on my Rocket 3 Touring.

Sooooo, I've taken measurements and am going to carefully cut the two end bags with the center one to nicely mount on my Nomad with one end bag going on my VStrom/sidecar rig windscreen and the other on the front edge of my left saddlebag. I'll take a pic of both bikes when I'm done.

Again thanks for the recommendations.
