KQR Sissy bar install on Vaq.

Just triple checked ebay, it was $469.xx + 20shipping around $490. Took about an hour to install...drilling on the plastic made me nervous. Used a unibit instead of a hole saw...I only cut what needed to be cut, leaving virtually no gap between the spacer and fender skirt....great accomplishment after working 8 hours. Pictures soon (of the finished product) It was dark when I started it.

Tomorrow, the 2 hr ride to my stealer for the first service and some amsoil

2 hr ride back home to hopefully see UPS has delivered my V&H slash cut slip ons and get them installed...then a nap, help my little brother tint windows in his home and my 2 favorite parts of my day tomorrow....

Compound meeting and hopefully some fun times with the old lady when I get home...

Next, figure out what to do about the tank trim

Get a PCV

Black mirrors

...might need a sissy bar bag.

While i'm thinking about it, dad has a '12 street glide...his quick release sissy bar weighs about 5lbs, the kawi unit is at least 20lbs....???? and has a sticker stating "do not exceed 80MPH with this accessory installed" come on kawi

A little off-topic, but could you please elaborate on the "compound meeting"? Do you live in a compound, like the Kennedys or something?

No, but I do have some friends that live in compounds lol...

I am a member of The Compound, which is a fellowship of sober bikers, founded by ex 1%ers that cleaned up, and still love to ride, and share the brotherhood...

If you know anyone that has a problem with alcohol or drugs, or someone in recovery that rides...we would be happy to meet them!

I just installed my Backrest last night and a monkey can do the drilling on the holes. inside of the panels is the exact hole that needs to be cut laid out in there. This was by far the easiest install I have ever done. Just one thing is that make sure you put the right size spacers and screws in the right holes. I think my wife will be happy that I got this on now. I also installed the Kawasaki Gel touring seat.

come off the $$$$ for a mustang seat. you will not regret it and i have read on some of the forums that the gel seat is not all that. the mustang is pricey but worth it and this is from someone with 2 ruptured lower back discs and 2 surgeries. i can easily go 2+ hrs in the saddle.

Couple of questions, what "tank trim" are you refering too, tha black plastic center pice that comes down thetank to the seat?

Also, when I bought my vaquero the dealer had already installed the QR backrest and rack as well as aftermarket cobra slip on mufflers. So there was really a sticker saying not to go over 80mph with the backrest on the bike. LOL...thats ridiculous.
