I wear cowboy boots, jeans, long sleeve shirt(keep the sun off me), gloves most of the time and a half helmet. Sometimes no helmet-just a cap.

I'm going to politely disagree that chaps don't help or protect when you slide on your arse. Had and unscheduled dismount at about 45 mph going right around a tight turn. Slid on my ass, bike on my chest. Didn't stop until hitting the oposite embankment. Two broken ribs, a very big bruise on my ass from hitting the road, but jeans intact and no road rash. The upper limits of the back of my chaps no longer black. Have that nice grey scraped look. Fortunately it was a low side event, but man these bikes can get heavy.

Lucky...... maybe, maybe not. We'll never know. It was just my experience. But surely, you're not going to argue with results? If if's and but's were candy and nuts.

Not really. It's like the rider that argues since he's had an accident not wearing a helmet and didn't get a head injury, riding without a helmet is safe.

Gorilla Warfare: when the sides get up to monkey tricks.

Maybe this will help:

A world renowned expert decided to devise an experiment. He captured a grasshopper and removed it's front legs. Then he gave the command to "JUMP".....the grasshopper jumped.

Next he removed the second pair of legs and again, gave the command to "JUMP"......the grasshopper jumped.

Finally, he removed the last set of legs and as before, gave the command to "JUMP".....the grasshopper did not jump.

His conclusion: a grasshopper with all legs removed cannot hear.

And taking ones self tooooooo seriously will lead to poor mental health.

A bit of advice I received some time ago. It has served me well. I share freely. Always take life seriously. Never take ones self too damn seriously. There is a very large segment of the population that lives by that. I have found them genuine, caring and free of many burdens.

When in doubt, move sideways! And smile. Thank you, I've had fun.

Oh, and never, never never let anyone know where your goat is tied.

Full face helmet, boots and gloves all the time. Jeans usually, leather jeans if its cold.
Leather jacket, or denim jacket if its very warm out.

If my skin is not covered it will burn.

If it's warm enough to not wear a coat, I wear a sleeveless shirt and my leather vest. That's what I wear anytime I can. It's comfortable. I wear a long sleeve shirt when it's cool, but not cold. Vest is always on. For a lid, I wear a 3/4 all the time. I sweat in it, then I flex my head enough to let the wind into it. The sweat and wind cool my head down. I'd prefer not to wear the helmet, but...you know...my mother threw a fit and threatened to kill me, so... I wear the helmet.
