You planning on setting up the witnesses for the start and end statements? Or going to leave it up to everyone to do his own? I'd be joining you up in OKC if I do this.

You guys have a great time and be carefull. I would like to join you but have one tenatively planned myself. I'll be leaving on the 20th for New York, my sister and I are planning to make it a Saddle Sore ride. This is why I have been paying such close attention to yours. Ride safe, see some of you in Antlers to compare notes.

I would use your wife/gf or a fuel stop right by home so you don't do excess miles. Then have them do the end also, we can plan out fuel stops from there....good thing about us doing it is that fuel mileage is similar so no excess fuel stops.

So who is still interested in the 15th of September? We would need to discuss a backup day pending plan changes and/or weather.

Sounds good to me. I dont usually worry about weather, especially on a 1000 mile trip.

I usually don't worry about rain, but if it is monsoon or tornado type weather well....it is 1000 miles that will hurt enough as it is.

We haven't met yet, so, if you think my Nomad looks like a Gold Wing, it's just the way the light hits it sometimes.

LOL, I ride a Harley wannabe so I don't judge. OK, so here might be a good plan.

Rustyford and Mo are north of us three and looks like they could intersect I-35 at the Cimarron turnpike near Perry, both wanderer and chucks are south of me so we could meet up on I-44 near Newcastle and ride up from there. There is a Dairy Queen about 8 miles north of the Cimarron turnpike all of us can meet at and ride together from there. This will minimize needless back and forth and all will take everyone about 1-2 hours to get there (except chucks...you got a bit to go, lol) I can build a ride gps file and email it to you all starting from the DQ and we can figure out what time to meet.

Sounds great! I also have a Spot tracking device that I will be using to plot our ride. I will post the web address before we leave, so if anybody wants to follow our ride they can.

It does...............kinda...........look like a Gold Wing.

Of course now mine looks like a Harley............in the right light.

The meet up on I-44 around Newcastle works for me.

Checked my calendar and looks like I'm out for the 15th. It's the first weekend I'll have free and promised the wife it's her's. Keep me in the loop though. Something may change.
