270 miles later . . .

Whew! Just got home from Concord, NH where I joined the Southern Cruisers of New Hampshire for a 116 mile ride. It was my first organized group ride. We were only 6 bikes, but still lots of fun. I rode 150 miles round trip to join the ride (okay, so it was 266 total miles) The leader of the group had an '03 blue and silver Nomad. I told him about this forum and he will check us out. My 2000 Nomad really delivered a great day of riding and never let me down. I am always glad that my bike is so satisfying to ride. Every time I take it out for a ride it is always a pleasant experience. Even when I was dog tired and had 75 more miles to ride to get home on the interstate I nevertheless enjoyed it. This is my seventh bike, and I have ridden about eighteen different bikes so far and my Nomad is by far the best. My Valkyrie was nearly as good, but the feel and sound of the v-twin engine with V&H Baggers is so much more gratifying than the howl of a flat-six.

I'll tell ya, these bikes are really easy to own and easy to ride and easy to live with. They have their warts, like all machines, but the Nomad's warts are minor in the overall picture.

I depend on mine. I commute on it daily, and in nearly 5 years the worst issues have been a worn out battery and a flat tire. Vehicle ownership doesn't get much simpler.
