Starcom1 on a nomad

Looking to add bike to bike communications on my Nomad. Have a Garmin Zumo 550 using the Scala Rider.. Was thinking of upgrading this winter to the Starcom1 Advance with a GMRS or CB radio. Any advice is appreciated!

try j&m unit works great add mp3 to it and have fm radio and music fits on handle bars no problem intercom works great cb works as good as the one on my wing intercom better

I currently have a J&M CB/combo and a Zumo 550 installed on my Nomad. I love the arrangement and it works well for me.

You can listen to the CB, and listen to MP3's from your Zumo. Not to mention XM radio if you so choose.

The J&M unit is a little pricey, but is well adapted for the motorcycle....water proof, shock proof, etc.

Thanks Trip,
the J&M setup looks better, and easier to operate. i guess i will work on convincing myself that the extra $$ is worth the investment.

The Zumo is great - apart from the rubber boot on the bracket drying out after 4 months. I called Garmin and they are replacing it, along with a bad lithium battery.
