Best ever mpg today

I took a 2 up 248 mile trip today. I filled up with Conoco 87 octane with zero% corn on my way up there. Filled up again on my way back and checked the mpg. 44.204 milles per gallon. Not bad for a 1600 Nomad with almost half of the miles at 70 mph on I-10. No ethanol does make a difference.

That's pretty good mileage riding 2-up

I'm not sure what you guys have as ethanol in the lower states, but I run my 08 on "popcorn" all the time ;).

I just got 49.6mpg on the last tank average speed of 65 mph, Riding solo with a single wheel trailer

I'm happy with that MPG and "Popcorn Juice" is available at 95% of gas station up here in the great white north :)

Denis, our gallons are larger than a US gallon, or did you already take that into consideration.

Also, running "popcorn juice", you get more mileage.... as the heat of the motor heats it up, the volume expands just like popcorn and the tank stays full for longer

This is Sunday and I'm off to nowhere

Good one Timebandit. LOL But I'm not sure everything is bigger in the Great White North. Mitch I got 46 mpg one day last week, but then on the way home I had a 40 mph tail wind too.

:(" title="" border="0"/>I just ran my 1st longish trip with the new pipes, processor and air kit. Barely cleared 30 MPG. WTF!

On the bright side, I apparently have a short somewhere in my new running lights. I had to ride home between 2 other riders.

Best I have ever gotten was either 45 or 46. If it is over 40 I am always very pleased.

Great mileage. The no-ethanol has dried up in my area.
