Thanks, I realized after I posted that, not always true. But for the ones of the same build (ie materials being about the same) the load capacity should be close. But yes always would read what the capacity is stated on the specs for the specific lift. Besides it's a MC lift so since my fully dressed Ultra Nad would be the only thing raised on it, wouldn't have a worry given it's curb weight.

No simply driving over it with the car so I could store it under without always moving it. But if needed to work on the car could move the table and lean it up against the wall. If I could drive over it then makes it much easier for when I wanted to use the table for the bike, cleaning, etc. But if had to move it every time wanted to park the car it would be a pita.

Besides I know most tables couldn't support the weight of even a small curb weight car like my Miata.

Now if they made a portable lift that you could put in a centre support that would work like a bike lift that would be cool. Still problem is the moving that heavy table around. No one solution would work for all of it.

There are table top lifts for cars. Maybe not long enough for a Nomad though.
My lift is all steel and about 300 lbs. Not something you're going to toss around and stand on it's end. It is on wheels though.

I know they aren't light, and the wheels would help. But since I am not LIFTING IT entirely but pivoting it, it's possible. But I get what you mean.
The alternative is building onto the garage, which isn't practical here or really space to do that. Moving isn't an option either, unless I can win the lotto ;)

you don't need a table to lift a miata do you?
I thought you just picked it up by a corner and stood it on the bumper verticle in the garage to save room....

I tried that but kept hitting the ceiling fan so I had to stop

Besides when the gas leaks out the gas tank nozzle it makes a real mess.
