There was a guy selling them at Panama City Beach Thunder at the Beach last April but I did not have a Nomad then or I would have paid more attention

Bud, it looks like these attach to the undercarriage of the Nomad. How difficult is it to get a Craftsman jack under the bike? Thanks!

There simply comes a time in life when you have to face-up to the fact... you have an old-outdated adapter and everybody knows it.

Good question, you need to roll the bike up onto wood blocks to get clearance with the adapter attached. Some can use 3/4 inch plywood, most probably need a square of 2 inch thick wood like a 2x6 or 2x8 end piece. If you use something of that nature you should also have a third piece for the kickstand.

Yes, and since the new and improved version is less expensive the only solution is to buy a new one.

More adapters will be ready by the end of the week. I will let you all know the color at that time.

Pretty much. :) I tell the shop to run whatever color he is using at the time. He explained that would save money that I then pass on in a lower price. My only request is that it not be black. :( The reason is that it is too easy to drive off with these things attached as it is and I prefer that they be some color that is easilly spotted. Black isn't it. ::) I was 30 miles from home one time and realized that mine was still attached when I looked at the bike sitting on the kickstand. Spooky. Oh, mine is even older and more obsolete than yours and mine is also black. ::)

Mine is red and I still rode 18 miles one day before I realized it was still on the bike. Now I strech a red bungie cord from mirror to mirror when I put the aadapter on the bike.
Then if I forget to take the adapter off I see the bungie and know I'm getting old and forgetfull :(

I now include an eight foot piece of red plastic warning tape to tie between the mirrors for that very reason.
