Jack adapter

I finally have a jack adapter that is ready. I will have to order them one at a time so will need to be patient. It pins onto the drilled ears on the bottom of the frame and gives a flat surface to lift the bike with a conventional MC jack. As you know the engine case protrudes below the frame and makes it impossible to safely lift the Nomad. The price will be $70 and includes shipping and does not include pins.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Idaho

bike on the jack all the way in the air NOTE: I use larger rails now. No flex.

Might not look like much but it works very nicely

Sweet design Idaho but do I see a slight bend in the forward rails, and how is the bike secured from falling over?

We tried to go with the thinner rails to be able to slide a jack in under the bike without rolling the wheels up onto wooden blocks. I had to remove the anti skid rubber pads from the top rails of the jadk and don't like that. So, I am going to put the pads back on the jack and go with the 1 inch square tube. That does not flex when the bike is in the air. Even if we go with the thinner tube that you see in the picture it is still very sturdy. As for how the bike is secured. The adapter is pinned to the bottom of the MC frame and the bike just sits on top of that on the jack. My jack has a system to strap the bike down when it is in the air and I will use that, especially when removing wheels. It is very solid when the bike is in the air. I will change my oil next week with this and let you all know how it works. I have to tell you that I am looking forward to that. My first oil change was a nightmare. Idaho

Just so you know I have never even considered putting my bike on a jack to change oil. I've always done it on side stand. The only problem I have then is getting up off the concrete floor

I have to drive my bike up on 1/4" boards to get my Craftsman jack under it. How do you get away with not having to do that??

I don't know!!! It just does. Even with the extra jack frame adapter under the bike. Maybe my jack has a lower profile? Anyway, I changed the oil with the adapter tonight, had the bike all the way in the air and it worked very slick. I loosened the extra filter drain and put the bike on the sidestand to help drain it all the way. Removed and replaced the oil filter, poured in my first synthetic oil. You all will be hearing more soon.

I put my jack under the tabs with the holes and it seems to lift level and be stable. Is there a reason not to do this...will something get damaged?
