Big city life, I guess. I am an old man and gave up being in a hurry long ago.

I never thought of Minnesota as big city and that's a good thing. As far as being in a hurry, it feels good to hit the hyperdrive button sometimes. May be it's just me.

Mpls/St. Paul 7 county metro is between 3.5 & 4 million people.
I do plenty of throttle twisting once I'm out of town, which is only about 3 minutes for me. I am on the far eastern side of MN.

NY metro is 15-20 million and it's nuts. There's no hyperspace. That's where the suck comes from. The blow comes from Kalifornia.

Ponch,

To some people, anything over 50,000 is big city. ;)

Anything over about 10K is big city to me, lol. If you have a McD, Burger King AND Wendy's, that is almost too big for me ;)

Ron, when I lived in Iowa I had clients in Minot (& Fargo). Visited many times, and it is really not that much colder than IA. All the Great Plains States can hit some really low temps (-20 or more) on a still and clear night in late January but it won't be 103 degrees with 99% humidity when your son is doing the August "2 a days" He will be in less danger of freezing to death there than he would be dying of heat stroke or exhaustion if he was here in FL so weather is a concern everywhere. But adjustment to the weather happens fast.
You will find less crime in areas where 6 months ouf the year it is too cold to be on the street corner selling drugs, or tricks or jacking cars or shooting each other. And you will find a lot of good honest hardworking people up there with great values and it will be their kids that he is going to school with.
And if you want to ride out to visit him some time give me a call and we'll go most way together. I make a couple trips a year to see the kids and grandkids in central Iowa.
