New Vulcanite from Lawton, Oklahoma
Hello all,
New Vulcan owner as of past Saturday when I got my "new-to-me" 2010 Vulcan 1700 Nomad with 17K miles, stepping up from my previous 2011 KLR 650. Been riding since I was about 16, mostly naked or sport bikes, with my first cruiser being a 2009 Yamaha V-Star 950 a few years ago. This would be my 2nd Kawasaki ever and I love it so far. Put on about 300 or so miles over the weekend, just riding it back home from the dealership and then a couple of local rides around the area yesterday. The larger size and weight takes some getting used to, especially the location of the shifter and rear brakes as does handling corners  . But a couple more weeks and we'll be just fine! Hoping to see many of you on the road soon, once I get a few "necessities" installed (12V outlet, phone charger, highway pegs, etc).

Lived in Lawton for about 8-9 months myself, working construction at Ft. Sill. Used to go play Bingo at the reservation, wife at the time thought she would be a big winner someday.
