Hello From Duluth, Georgia

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jon and it has been six days since my last ride. I just bought a 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Nomad FI with only 9,000 miles on it. I really like it and am looking forward to making a few upgrades to it. It came with Vance and Hines Bagger Dual Exhaust already installed. I love this user group and am learning a lot of things from fellow Kawasaki Bagger riders. I want to put a better air intake system on my bike, and from what I read, will need to put some type of fuel management system on it as well.

Welcome aboard from just a little NW of you in Cartersville, GA. You are correct, you will need some type of fuel processor if you open up the intake.

Thanks. Nice looking bike. I like the blue and silver color combination. Is there an intake system that you recommend?

Thanks Framer,

Did you get the single-plate or the dual-plate Chuckster intake?

I went with what is called a "stealth thunder" intake, you can find it here
https://web.archive.org/web/20150307...tock_acmod.htm

Chuckster makes a good one at a reasonable price
http://www.chucksterscustoms.com/Hom...ber=CC-KAIS-BP

And another one I like if your good with tools

Thanks again. I hope to make a decision soon and get moving on this project. My goals are increased performance, low cost, quiet operation, and good looks.
