Rt 97, NY State, commonly known as the "Hawks Nest". Also a part of the Upper Delaware National Recreation (or is it Scenic?) Area.

Do I get a cookie? It is a fantastic road, isn't it? I always have a great time riding there. I see by your video, it looks like you were up there on a weekend. I love going over that part during a weekday and either very early or very late in the season when there aren't any other cars or bikes around.

You didn't happen to stop by Arlene and Tom's Diner in Port Jervis for lunch, did you? If not, try them the next time you're in the area.

The 1st. pic was mid morning the video was early afternoon while the crouch rockets were racing back and forth. Does anyone get killed there?

Yup, as far as I know, at least once a year. Like you said, it's usually the crotch rockets racing back and forth. Normally it's later in the day and one of the more inexperienced riders.

Hehe, standing water usually gives a certain atmosphere to any photo - perhaps tranquility - the idea of being away from a hectic world for a while ... I like the concept ;)
