Adding LED running lights
Hi all,
I was looking at this old thread about putting LED running lights in the place of the reflectors on the sides of the forks. http://vulcanbagger.com/forums/showt...ight=reflector I want to give it a go but unfortunaltey the pictures are not showing up anymore. I understand that I should tap into one of the 3 wires for turn signals, but which one? Both sides have a black and white wire, one side also has a blue and the other side a green wire. Are the blue and green the hot wires?

Don't have my shop manual handy for the wiring schematic, but I can tell you the blue on one side and green on the other are the pos + wire for the turn signals.
Kawa uses a yellow/ black wire for most ground wires, so I am assuming black is ground -and white is the pos +. Anyway easy enough to test led's only light with correct polarity, so just bare a bit of the white and a bit of the black wire and prob with the ends of the led lead to see which is which.

Blue and green are the positive wires. One will be turn signal and the other will be the running light circuit. Can't remember which is which - use a meter or test light to determine.

Thank you cnc and cactusjack. I'll give it a go and post my results once I get it running.
