Speed has its risks

Falling down at 285 MPH sucks.

It sucked big time for him, thats too bad, but I think the track he was on was too short for that kind of speed.

According to what I read, a couple of years ago he got up to 311 mph in a mile and and a half. (The track has two and a half miles with 2000 ft extra.) He was trying to get up to 300 mph in just a mile this time.

Wasn't good enough to go over 300 mph, had to push it to a shorter track. Guess he gets the record for the fastest -splat- speed on a one-mile run.
Sorry, but somewhere in this process a survival cell has to kick in.

Seems it was too narrow.

To me it rates right up there with free style motocross. It`s not if something bad happens it`s when.
