Did you get the email with the pictures? Was it any help? Your PM box is full on the Forum.
So you put 1157s in front and 1156s in rear? Do you have a link for the bulbs?

glad you got them working and they are bright for sure.

Thanks,

I did not even check my email inbox. I cleaned out my PM folder though. The LED bulbs were some Chinese bulbs off Amazon, however in Pep Boys they have Pilot LED error free bulbs. I thought they would work with no resistors because of the Can Bus error free but no dice. Yes 1156 go in rear. The 1157 have dual element because you have running lights and signals up front. I bought some 3/4 inch heat shrink tube and sealed two 25w 6ohm load equalizers and mounted them with zip ties on the fender support which is metal. Then tapped into the signal light wires with posi taps. The splicer clips that come with the resistors suck. The heat shrink was to protect the resistors from water. Before all of that, I had to reverse the black and yellow wire with the green wire on the signal socket. For some reason Kawi wired them with reverse polarity (black was hotwire). All is well now. The resistors will only heat up if you leave the signal on for a real long time or use the emergency flashers for extended periods, but with self cancelling lights it is no issue at all. The front resistors mount behind the headlamp ziptied to the fairing frame which is also metal. Not near anything sensetive. Next is the Alpine amp and speaker upgrade. I always need a project.

If you have amber lenses in the rear, you can not have them as rear running lights, LEOs sorta frown upon this

Congratulations Ken! For a guy who hates wiring projects, you are rocking a couple of good ones here! Keep up the good work and notes!

Ride safe,
Smokier
