MP3 Player ear plugs

I enjoy listening to music on a long trip but I'm having trouble with ear plugs :( . I've tried 3 different kinds from buds to plugs, and I can't get them to stay in. Between wind and sweat they fall out.

I know Beezer ;) enjoys a little music on the road. Can you give me a little help? Anyone find a pair that'll stay in on the super slab? Thanks .. Joe

I have trouble with ear buds, too. I installed some speakers in the ear flaps of a couple of my helmets. I got them here: Helmet Audio. I also like these little headphones that clip over your ears:Earclips The only problem with the earclips is that they become uncomfortable after a few hours of continuous wear. They sound better than the speakers, though.

If you have the coin, see an audiologist and have molds made of your ear canals. Then you can have musician ear buds made to fit you and they will not move. Probably cost between $500-$700, so not to practical for most folks. Shure, Westone, Ultimate Ears are the most popular companies.
On a more practical note, I recommend these:

or
http://www.westone.com/content/115.html
With the yellow foam sleeves, they will stay in place and they sound awesome! They are designed for Pro Audio and musicians. Both pretty much the same drivers. I believe Westone is a little cheaper. I use the Shures when I ride.

I bought a set of Sony ear buds. I think they're model MD-11. I got them at the local Borders Bookstore but, I'm sure you can find them anywhere. I like them because they have great bass response. They also come with three different sized ear pieces to fit your individual ears. This helps with the sound quality, fit (obviously) and blocks road noise.

They do allow enough traffic noise so you stay safe and are able to hear what's going on around you. They don't push uncomfortably against your ear nor do they rub on the helmet which, in turn, causes disconfort to your ear.

They run about $35.00.

I use a pair of sony earbuds. They are the kind that have a bridge that goes over your ear and the speaker doesn't have to be shoved into the ear. I have worn them inside my full face helmet and with no helmet at all and they sounded just as good either way. They are cheap too.

Mine are black though.

I use the Shures and have not had any problems. There is a guy in Miss. that will make you a a set fitted to your ear like audiogooroo is talking about. I don't have his # or e-mail but a few of my friend have had him make them some. Give me a couple days and I'll try to find it.
