2013's look sharp!

And they offer an ABS Vaquero. Liking all the color schemes!

The flames on the Vaquero look tacky IMO. Not liking the Voyager colours either. More blue and less black, or all blue would have been my choice.

The Vaquero ABS doesn't show the reflector on the saddle-bags... but the non-ABS model does...

Out of all 2013s, the flat black Vaq is the best looking Vulcan. However, I was told that the flat black paint is very difficult to maintain.

They can keep the flat black. Primer might have been cool when I was 16, but not any anymore. Ditch the flames too. The orange can stand on it's own. The best part of the Vaquero is the addition of ABS, but the colors kill it.

Ugggg! Those stick on flames look cheap and tacky! If you're gonna put flames on a $17K bike they need to be pained on, not stuck on.
I'm with Ponch on the flat paint. Looks like you got the bike primed and than ran out of money and couldn't finish the paint job.

Am I looking at this wrong? Is the black on the saddlebags a flat black and the black on the tank a glossy?

I don't think you're looking at that wrong. I checked it out on Canadian site that shows the same bike from different perspectives and the saddlebags look flat black in all views:

http://www.kawasaki.ca/model/CRUISER...can-1700-Nomad

Given all these colour options, I still prefer the flat black.

I'm not a fan of the flat colors either, it does look like primer on the bikes.

It does not look like anything changed except a little paint here and there.
If you want a sharp lookin bike with the best factory paint and finish in the industry, you need to buy a Harley-Davidson

Or a Yami, or Honda, or Victory or..... Actually, I think Kawis often have the worst paint jobs in the industry.
