My "village-proper" is officially 10,780

Liked it better when it was smaller... before people like me moved-in.

In 1979 there were about 1800 of us in Roscoe Township. Then all the do-gooders came and wanted things like street lights. . Greg, you aren't one of those who thinks you need a street light in the Country are you. . One of the things I miss being in LV is the big dark sky at night.

BTW I said the same thing in 1979.

Second largest city in KS - Overland Park 176,000. We are part of the KC, MO metro area which is just over 2 million.

The town of my first memories (Twisp, Washington) had a population of about 750 at the time. It's since "boomed" to almost 2,000. Most of my "growing up" was in Wenatchee, Washington. (back then about 20,000) Seattle area happened at about 23 Y.O.A. Move to Phoenix in 2011 was related to a motorcycle accident in September of 2010. Small Town enough? JK

Population of Maricopa County, about 4 million.

Calgary, Alberta latest I could find was June 2012 at 1.1 million. Way too many people. Under 180,000 when I was born here. My kids will tell you that was in the 1800's.

That's the metro, but not the city itself.

Depends on the time of the year. From October to April the population is higher than the rest of the year. The population is supposed to be just under 23K.

Last year I was told we had about 2400 eligible voters. So with children maybe close to 2700.

No... didn't complain about street lights; but do have a few complaints on my list. Seems this small village's leaders were "idiots" on quite a few decisions through the years though...

When I moved here... I was one of a few cars driving out this far. Now it is actually has traffic jams at times.

According to the last census the population of Dickinson, ND was 18,499, but thanks to the current oil boom here in western ND, it is currently estimated at over 25,000 and growing.

I'm thinkin' that must be the "Summer" population. Snow Birds probably get counted at their Northern addresses.
