They are listed on their site, but trying ordering. I bet most, if not all, have just not removed it from their site.

The one I sold was for a VN1500D. I bought it hoping it would fit my 1600, but it was just slightly off.

Here is the old link with the info.

Thanks Pete!! Interesting they have the same photo and with the exception of one place/web site, it's also the exact same price. It says to me they all get it from the same place. The one web site
http://www.aftermarketcyclepartsnati...ductId=8085629
has probably lowered the price because of the economy. Nice to know it's available still.
These places all offer them, but try calling them!! They just haven't removed them from their web page. I actually tried this exact place because it was the cheapest. Nope! Nothing.[/quote:8s0f67v2]

I had wondered if that was the case, as didn't see any of the major suppliers offering it any more for either the 1500 or 1600.
Did you try that option I sent you in the PM? It maybe an option for you? And not a bad price either?
Let me know how you make out if don't find another source.

Rickyboy, no not trying to keep secrets. But Jared asked FIRST AND it was his B day so he gets FIRST dibs on that option before others are aware. Once he has or knows something I am sure he will share with the rest of the class. OK ;)

Guess they just weren't a big profit maker and are very hard to find now.

Those of us who have them know what a BIG difference they make to the left side of the bike. I can't imagine not having the inner engine cover chromed.

They do make a huge difference in the look, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have built the bike without it being chromed.
Keep looking Im sure youll find one eventually.

I found a local shop who will chrome it for me for $65! I have to strip the paint off to save about $50 and they will chrome the whole think and polish the top and visible side. That is okay with me. I think the one by Kawi was only polish in those locations too.

$65 seems like a heck of a deal! I'm considering have my water pump chromed too. I can't seem to find the chrome cover for them anymore either....

That does sound pretty good, if we had a local guy that did plating at reasonable cost, there are a few parts Id take in to them.
