name the bikes

Hello, my wife found this photo and was wondering if anyone can identify the two bikes??

My guess is the one on the right is a Zundapp, circa 1940 ?

Just a guess on the one on the right as being a BMW... Not sure about the other yet... but still looking.

Edited to correct which bike I meant; however my guess is wrong...

I think you are right on that one... It matches up to a 1936 right down to the tail pipes.

I meant on the right -- not the left. At first it looked like an apposing piston engine; however at closer look I believe RedJay nailed that one.

Seems like everyone made V-twin bikes during the 20's and the 30's.
I wonder if the uncles had a bragging session going on.
