While we're suggesting loops why don't we loop through Cedar Breaks and the way back from Bryce Canyon. The total trip would be 210 miles. See link below.

Also, someone tell Brad to bring his inhaler, Cedar Breaks N.M. will take you above 10,000'.

The only question is if Hwy 14 will be open then or not.

The loop I outlined would be

79 Kanab to GCNP
42 GCNP to Jacob Lake
120 Jacob Lake to Kanab via Page/Lake Powell
-----
241 miles (approximately)
or, roughly 90 miles farther than just the up and back route.
It's 154 miles from Jacob Lake, AZ to Page, AZ to Kanab, UT for a total ride of 278 miles. Not a whole lot more but something to take into account for gas stops and lunch.

See link below.

That's a real good question. It was a hell of a slide. I will look into it.

I was thinking closed due to snow. I forgot about the landslide. I hope it's open, Navajo Lake is beautiful.

It was a good idea but not viable. Hwy. 14 is supposed to open to limited traffic only at night on 6/1/2012.

That's too bad. It was good that you checked though.

Where would the gas stop be? As we pass back through Jacob Lake?

I,m not in charge but I'm guessing Jacob Lake and Page. Probably lunch in Page too. Lots of choices.
