Brake Pads

Does anyone know where I can get a good price on the front and rear brake pads for my '99 Nad? Sorry if this has been posted before.

I would stick with the OEM pads. I replaced my rear pads last year with a set of EBC pads and I find them noisy, They seem to work ok but I don't want to hear them every time I use them.

I got the EBC HH sintered pads on the back now (still running factory on the front). works really well, and so far no noise from them.Part #'s are EBC-FA231HH for the front right, and the back, and EBC-FA229HH for the front left. Be smart and get a quality name brand set of pads. I got mine from www.cruisercustomizing.com They ship pretty quick

Careful, guys, The Nomads changed rear pads a couple times over the years. I believe '99s used the older style rear pads that were more square. Personally I like the EBC carbon pads best. They are soft and wear quickly but they're quiet and don't eat up the rotor. Pads can be changed very quickly and cheaply, but rotors take 10x as long to change and cost almost $200.

Stock Kawi pads lasted twice as long but ate up the rotor twice as fast. HOWEVER: I do think the stock bronze-colored pads performed better. That is they stopped the bike faster.

So there's a tradeoff there in price/performance/longevity/economy.

Thats what I find also is that my Ebc pads (FA231HH)work ok, but I think the OEM's stopped the bike a little quicker. The Ebc pads will probably last longer, but I would prefer the faster stopping power if I was to install new pads again.
