The pads you are talking about cost about the same as what this guy here will charge to put a gel pad inside the seat.I just got done riding about 60 mile & i think the biggest prob might be the seems where my legs cross the edge of the seat. If you want to send pics of the seam removed i would like to see them.

I put a corbin on mine still get sore but not nearly as much as with the stock seat. I am thinking about trying an air hawk, or one of those pads with gel in it. I got to much invested in the corbin I'll be damned if I wont figure out some combination to make it work.

I bought some memory foam and cut out the center and back of the stock seat and installed it. It was much better than stock but still only good for 100 miles and then I'm squirming.

I finally got a Russells "day Long" saddle and I'm good for "All Day". http://www.day-long.com/index.htm
They also have 100% refund if you're not fully satisfied. They have 4 fulltime foam cutters revamping your stock seat pan and 4 fulltime seamstresses sewing covers. Mine was expensive because I did the drive-in service ($80) and my wife and I are over the weight limit on stock so they added heavy duty springs in the wings of the seat ($45ea=$90). I paid $771 OTD. I put on about 9000 per year, so it was sure worth it to me.

I also have a Russell Products "Day Long" and it is a 100 times better than the stock seat. My butt still gets sore after 500 to 600 miles but I could only go about 50 miles with the stock seat.
