about 500 miles for me. perfect day ride thursday, hangout friday, ride back saturday.

it looks like event passes go on sale november 5th. I'm going to book a room early for thursday and friday night. I don't know what all goes on there if they have concerts friday and saturday night or if only saturday night is the big party I've never been but heard its cool.

wow! I just called 3 of the hotels they said every room in every casino will sell out that week and they require a min. of a 3 night reservation at over $200 per night paid at the time reservations are made! yikes! Call me a penny pinchin wh*re but I'm gonna look around...........maybe I won't go. (Looked online and normally they're 22 bucks a night....I guess not on THAT week!)

You could try Bullhead City AZ, but that's just across the river and may be same story.
There's also:
Needles CA 24 miles
Kingman AZ 33 miles
<s>Searchlight NV 38 miles</s> (no motels?)

I found a couple in Searchlight. One has to get back with me on the price - the other one said $55 a night, minimum two night reservation. Perfect.

I couldn't find any listings in expedia.com. If you find a decent deal, post the name of the motel. Might as well throw some business their way if they're not sticking it to you.

Kay Motel (702) 297-1770 - 115 Gaviland St Searchlight, NV - $95 a night.
El Rey Motel (702) 297-1144 - 430 Us Hwy 95 Searchlight, NV - $55 a night - 2 nights min. Won't take reservations until January.
