Based on their web site it looks like they are well worth the $69 a night price. But there are quite a few of the more Mom & Pop run style hotels close by that are in the $45 price range for those that are looking to save a few dollars.

Like some of those folks that want to minimize costs but would still like to be right there in the middle of things, I will be posting later on to see if there are others that might like to share a room at the host hotel. Would it make sense to have a thread for that once are the details with the hotel are finalized?

Makes sense to have that thread Ross. I know everyone will not want to stay at the host hotel, and we might run out of rooms there. I knew that there are several smaller hotels just down the street that folks might like to stay in, but they did not have the facilities to host any kind of large gathering.

That is kind of why I am trying to get an idea of the number of rooms we will need at the Maggie Valley Inn. They are a 99 room facility and I already have half of the hotel blocked off.

I don't get why not Kris.. Last year was on the west coast (Custer SD). That's why its smack dab in the middle (North Carolina) of the country next year!

The actual geographic center of the US is near Belle Fourche, SD. That was very near our last national rally, so you can't get more central than that. ::)

Ok, you got me. Never really consider them, especially Hawaii since you can't drive to that State.
