..YO Dave ..you have that right (also include gov operations) ..

As I hear it...there's a big push by the IP/ip Greed-Mongers (that actually own the FCC) to make "us all" pay for fast connections..or suffer slow downs...

I assume they already are so confident of the legislation that they are going ahead with the plan !

So what is the purpose of these bots, and why are deployed on forums?

Never had a site load so slow since the days of dial up. The pages won't even load right when they DO load.

I don't know what the issue is but FIX IT!

It's fast at the moment for me, too. More times than not lately, it's been dial up slow. No other site than here so it HAS to be an issue with this site. Maybe it's a server problem, maybe it's a bug in the forum software, maybe..... I don't know what the problem is but it's a real problem and it's not just me.

I keep getting a message that pops up when I come to this website about "a script on this page is causing your browser to run slowly, if you continue your computer might become unresponsive", or words to that effect.

I get the message every time I come to the website now, for the last 2 or 3 days.

..I dunno for sure..but a few years ago I got a message like that.. and they recommended I click on an "up-date site"...I did..it immediately 'cratered" my hard drive--and after $300..plus hassle factor, including a in-home Hacker...I got the craputer to working again !

Good Luck

I dont think its a scam email, I think it is an Internet Explorer message.
There is no box to click on to take you to another website for malicious malware etc.

I had a similar experience to yours " your computer is running slow" blah blah blah.
Click on it and you are looking at erasing your hard drive and reloading to get rid of it.
Been there done that.
