Do you have an electrical test meter with a continuity test function?

If not, spend $20 on an inexpensive one and check each wire one at a time to make sure it's good from one end to the other.

It's a simple job if you slow down and think of it as one wire at a time and not the overall job.

It sounds like you have a cold solder joint or two, no big deal it happens.

Did you check your bulb to make sure both the high and low beam are good?

Check the wires with your test meter too.

Wiring problems are the worst.

I had a diode cost me a week once.

Good Luck

The spine is broken from opening the electrical diagram so many times to check it and follow wires, thanks for the help.

Like MAS said, do 1 at a time. Poprivot that spine back together. One on Mine has 3
1/2" long 10-32's with flatwashers and fender washers holding it together.

Heres what you do! Go inside, get your manuals wiring section, open it up, scan it with the computer, make 2 copies, and get yourself a highlighter. One, red, the other, green.
Start with 1 wire going thru the lighting circuit, follow it, using a red highlighter. Run a continuity test, then a voltage test, then after you test and check it, mark it on the other copy with a green highlighter, then check it.
You'll be suprised how much progress can be made in a few hours, when you know where everything goes....

One thing I really love about the factory manuals, is besides the color wiring charts, it has plug locations, and type of plugs, which helps greatly when trying to find a boo-boo in a wiring harness.

Just as MAS said....I also have had a problem. Once took me 4 1/2 days to narrow a wiring problem down on a 01 ElectraGlide Classic. 1 wire had a break inside the insulation going to the ECU....intermediate misses and turnoffs....most annoying....
Found that ass late friday afternoon just before quitting time....I partied that weekend!

I had this also once on a Vstrom. The electric sheath was pounding against an ignition coil with vibrations. One of the wires inside sheath had broken from the inside. I saw it because it had made a little "green gray" (I do not know how it is said in English ). This was due to a slight electrical leak. The failure was an engine that did not want to start. Apparently, the wire had no cut.
An electrical continuity tester is very convenient, indeed.

The relay is inside the fuse panel. I had to replace my fuse panel 3 years ago because of no headlight.
