I too used to have a KZ 650,it was not a long distance road bike.Had to stop every 100 miles for gas and to stretch.
Congrats on the new bike. You are going to love it.

No need for concern. I hadn't ridden for over twenty years, bought a new M50 Suzuki in 07 and my Nomad last summer. It took very little time to adjust to the larger bike. The hardest part is low speed maneuvering, like a parking lot. On the road, it feels light and nimble. I switch between the two bikes regularly, depending on the type of ride.

Welcome from West Central Ohio, put her in the garage, kick up your feet, the DTN weather site that ODOT is paying for, is calling for about 10-12 inches of snow this next week. Right about now spring is looking pretty far away!

You may want to start with getting all the warning stickers off, probably the first "mod" that I did.
