Enjoy your new bike !!!

Not sure why this would be a given guys. I'm clicking over to 60 next yr. and in no way would/will be trading in the Nomad for a "wing". Maybe because they just don't "fit me".

It took awhile, but I finally located a one owner 2008 audio/comfort/navi with only 11,500 miles and 3 years of Honda extended warranty remaining. I traded my beautiful Red/Black 1600 Nomad for the Wing. I just couldn't justify owning two bikes.

Of course, the best part of owning the Nomad is all the great friends I have met and ridden with because of this forum. I have attended rallies in Eureka Springs and Van Buren AR, three in Antlers OK, and the National rally in Estes Park this past summer. I have truly enjoyed each rally and meeting all of you fine people because of the VBA. Like others, I hope I am still welcome on the forum and at the rallies. You all are a GREAT GROUP!

Here is a picture of the new ride:
Hi!
Congrats on the new to you Goldwing. In September 2012, I also traded my 2005 Nomad on a new 2012 red GL 1800. I now have over 19,000 kilometers & love this machine. I must say that Norm (CNC), Sylvain (Sly) still lets me ride with them. I have learned a lot on this forum, & as for the people on here, a great bunch, a+!
Cheers!

Congrats on getting a GW Griz.... My research shows that the GW 1800 is probably the best sport/touring bike on the road with an engine that's almost bullet-proof. Here's to many happy riding miles.

Congrats on the new GW. Getting a new bike is like getting a new girlfriend. They feel a little different and you have to get used to their mood swings....but it is an exciting time for sure. Enjoy!

I suppose Brad. I was only being a smart aleck stating that a lot of the "old guys" are changing to Wings. Mainly referring to Jessie, Gene, and Joe.

I'll admit, I am getting old ! Debbie says riding on the back of the Goldwing is about like riding in a convertible with the top down.

Old Guys aside Mitch.... if you've ever ridden a GW through it's paces... you'll find it's hardly a old guy bike.

If only I were 3-4 inches taller I would be riding a GW. Besides... it has the same initials as I do!
