I tried to convince him to go for the Iron Butt..... now that he has a Russell, maybe he will.

I rode with him a month or 2 ago... he says he's done plenty of long rides to qualify for an Iron Butt, just never "officially" did one. The way he rides, I don't see it being a problem to get it done. Especially now.

Yep, going home. The first day I rode from Shasta Lake, California to Hurricane, Utah. 861 miles, 15 hrs, I got off of the bike once for 20 minutes to eat a hot cakes & sausage at McDonalds, and 3 other times for 5 minutes each to fill the gas tank. I would say the seat works!!!

I stopped for the night in Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Just a short ride today, only 661 miles. But, about half of the ride was in rain, and the temperature was between 40 and 50 most of the day. Tomorrow is easy, 450 miles.
