Sweet, thanks for the links "BonVoyager" . I still want to see one on a Vaquero, Anyone??
Hello,
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Come on now
I hear you're feeling down
Well, I can ease your pain
And get you on your feet again

Sorry It was on the radio as I typed this, Just could not resist.

Here’s another eBay link to the same hitch. It has pics of it mounted to a Vaquero.

I like being able to switch between a hitch and a cooler rack with the Chuckster hitch.

Chuckster's hitch is much more heavyweight than the hitch I had on my Sabre and I pulled a trailer over 10,000 miles in all with it. This new hitch looks like too much excess weight. I'm sure it can take any abuse you heap on it, but a solid plate seems like overkill. It would also make tongue weight even more critical than it already is. Just my 2 cents. I looking forward to a review after it's been used a while.

It is not that heavy of a hitch in lbs believe me with the ball mount attached it is just slightly over 10 lbs. It is actually lighter in lbs than the chucksters hitch I am sure of that. When I get the Chucksters hitch off bike I will weigh it and compare the weights for you. I know with the ball mount the chucksters is allot more than this hitch in weight. The ball mount itself will come in I believe at about 5 lbs I am sure.

I will let you know as soon as I get the old chucksters off the bike and weigh that one as well.

I agree but you could fabricate a receiver tube to accept a rack. You might have to get it bent up.

If it is not that heavy, it must not be a solid chuck of metal, though it looks like it in the pictures. If that is the case, I don't see it being any stronger than Chucksters unless fairly thick plate was used to make it, which, in turn would make it heavier. It can't be very thick if it is just 10 lbs with the ball! In fact, a wider, flat (more or less) hollow piece like that will not have the same strength to stand twisting torques as a tubular shape of the same thickness. I am sure, though, that it is an excellent hitch.

Trailer hitch

I bought this hitch for my Vaquero is great works well and installs easily. The one thing to remember though you have to mount the tongue under the hitch not on top as it will rub against the lower fender otherwise. After. I changed to under didn’t scratch the fender anymore. I just have to get that lower fender repainted now.

It is a solid chunk of metal for sure it is. You can see in the video how thick it is I believe it to be 3/8 inches thick. Not with the ball mounted in receiver I weighed it with the chrome tongue attached. No ball. It is not hollow at all solid piece. I have the Chuckster's hitch on bike now and from the Chuckster's to this one I prefer this mount system believe it to be stronger and better looking.

That is my opinion only others many think differently.

Yah Know what, I have to go with the Chucksters. I found a Thule TP105 trailer and I need a 5" riser to level the towing out. Need the receiver to accept a riser in the hitch Chucksters or Marves are the only ones I know of. In the future I may need other heights in towing. The only way I see it is with a receiver type hitch to adjust the trailer to tow correctly. This is how they do it with cars and trucks and they have 4 tires. So it seems to me I may be more sensitive in towing than they are. IMHO

I do like the one piece solid concept but for my needs it is to limiting. If They had different height bolt-on risers that would bring me back to the fold. Because I Really like the simplicity, construction, mounting and solid form of the hitch.

DVF the pics are OK upside down, I do not remember why they do that. Ask JD HOG the moderator, he is familiar with the problem.
I can see how it mounts and how the underside looks. Thank you, one from standing up As onlookers would see the hitch down the road or parked installed on the bike would be another angle to the deciding factors of how it looks to others and the round about all over looks of the bike.

Dang! That looks a lot thicker than 3/8" in the pics. OK, that would be pretty strong. I still have a hard time believing that it only weighs 10 lbs. with the tongue included, but I'll take your word for it.

3/8" would definitely be strong, though.
