Here's what mine looks like in the signature area of my user profile:

:IMG:http://weathersticker.wunderground.c...dler.gif:/IMG:

I used colons ":" instead of the left "[" and right "]" brackets to enclose the "img" and "/img" tags, otherwise you'd be seeing my weather banner, not the code.

I have a red squirrell here to thats looking for some lead, Ive missed him 6-7 times so far and found that my sight was off. I was shooting 6" high at about 6-7 yards. I sighted it in good yesterday so I think his number is up next time he comes around.

CJ,
Looks good bud...can't wait to see it painted! Now check into those Dekker Supreme T-bags. There are several different kinds on the market....just type in Dekker Supreme on ebay and see what you come up with.

Those bags are made for that large luggage rack and secure to the rack on all four corners! With that big trunk and the big bag on top, you will be able to ride all the way to the east coast for the next National Rally with no problem whatsoever!

Also go down tp the HD dealership and pick up a lid organizer. They may have differnt styles but they're all essentially the same thing....

For arguments sake....check this out. CJ says $760 for trunk and luggage rack, which he had to install. It's another $250 for the Wompus mounting rack and let's just say $300 if you had to have it professionally painted/pin-striped by someone else. Now you're in about $1300.00.

This is how I ended up with the Premeux trunk. I paid $1500.00 for the thing including shipping to my house in Washington state from Quebec, Canada! It came with a chrome mounting bracket, the luggage rack was pre-installed and was already painted with factory colors/pin-striping.

Sorry CJ, not trying to hijack the thread here....just pointing out that everyone cries about how spendy the Premeux Tour Pack is....but it's not that out of line with other large Tour Packs of that size, especially since you save all the additional steps! 20 minute bolt-on and off you go! They ain't cheap though and it's entirely possible I am still trying to justify my purchase in my own mind... ;)....but I do really like it... !

That said....any way you choose to go is a huge plus for long-hauling. You will really enjoy that thing CJ and I have no doubt that it will look great when it's all said and done! Now I have to think about getting me some of those side running lights. I put some stick on red reflectors on the sides of my Tour Pack, but I like the idea of the powered running lights! Nice work!

ROFL. It is 2am here in OK and I just had to dispatch of an armadillo. It was taken care of with a 124gr +p+ Remington Golden Sabre from my Beretta Cx4 Storm carbine. Split his disgusting ass open. :)

Thanks, Chris.

Yes, I plan to look into a lid organizer. I have a lot of loose stuff adrift in that cavernous tourpak right now.

I'm still waiting for more LEDs to show up, they should be here Thursday as should some dual intensity circuits I ordered. Hopefully, I can make them work as advertised. My plan is to have 2 vertically mounted, 4" red LEDs on each side of the rear of the box. the outer two will function as tail and turn signals, the inner 2 will function as tail and brake lights.

After reading your post, I will admit there is some merit in receiving your trunk fully assembled and mounted. I had to mount the backrest and the luggage rack (I bought from a third party) and the trunk to the Wompus rack. None of this stuff comes with templates or even directions and you have to drill into a very expensive piece of fiberglass and hope you get it right the first time. There are a lot of curves and no surface is flat, so measuring becomes a challenge.

Still, I enjoy the experience of assembling stuff myself. I might have enjoyed it more if the holes were pre-drilled.
