Car tire size for the 1500 ?

Wondering what size tire is being used on the 1500? I just did one on my friends 1600 -- SP5000 195/65-16 and have to say WOW what a difference. I couldn't believe the feel when I took it out for a ride. I will be looking into one for my Nomad as well.

Not sure, Joe. The 1500 has a narrower rear wheel than the 1600 and limits your choices.

The Darkside Forum on Delphi has a database that tells you what size tires work with a given model of bike.

I saw a picture in this room where a same Dunlop Named tire was used in 195/60 R16..

Seems like it fits, and the wheel beads hold it in enough for fair clearaces... I run that very size on a 06, and of course like it.

Joe,

Isaiahsdad has the Dunlop SP 195/60R-16 on his 1500. No clearance issues.
