Question about TPS Adjustment

OK...I did it today...I adjusted the TPS.
I did not remove the Tank..I propped it up with a 2x4.
Took off the Throttle body cover and back plate and let it hang.
Removed the Plug wire bracket.
I unplugged the TPS so I could stick a needle down into it and then plugged it back in.
Clipped my DC volt meter on the needle and the neg onto a nearby frame nut.
Turned on the key and I get 0.66 at Idle and 4.38 at WOT.
So good so far..
I loosen the outside #25 torx on the sensor and I give it a few good strong but gentle taps upward.
Now I get 0.65 at Idle and 4.40 at WOT...Retighten the torx nut and check the voltage again....It's the same.
Took it for a spin and kinda get down on it on the highway in 4th and then again in 5th.
Amazing...this seems to be working
By the way I've got about 60% regular and 40% premium gas in the tank and the knocking is damn near gone.

Later on today...I'm thinking....I'm going to adjust it a little bit more and then let it be...besides..I forgot to put the silicone on the plug for possible water. So I do it...and now I'm at 0.64 for idle and 4.41 for WOT.

OK Now...Here is the question...It's seems that when I make the adjustment to get the 0.3 volt increase at WOT...that the idle voltage drops instead of increasing like it does at WOT.
Is this what it's supposed to do.
Seems to be working..Starts up good..Sounds good...
Have not test run it yet at the 0.03 increase yet...I only had tested it at the 0.02 increase.
So...Is this the way the voltage is supposed to do drops at idle when it increases at WOT?

Dang...I'm sorry....I've done rambled on too much and typed too much.

Thanks
Doug

Question about TPS Adjustment

OK, you made me go look. We wrote the settings on the inside of the side cover and I could not remember what they where. Well after looking I discovered that we did not write the idle readings only the WOT readings. My bikes orginal reading before the WOT adjustment was 4.41. After the adjustment it is 4.45. Appearently Gary did not think the idle adjustment settings was important enough to bother about writing down so I have no record of before of after the adjustment.

The only time I can remember I bike pinging since the adjustment was once when I got some bad gas. I am still pretty faithfull about running 90+ octane fuel although the bike has run fine on 89 when 90+ was not available.
