We're doing OK. I just came inside from the front porch for the last couple of hours. A Cat 1 isn't very bad. More inconvenient than anything. Just enough to cause power outages and flooding in low lying areas. Cat 3 and above rip things up pretty badly. We just need this thing to start moving and get the heck out of here.

Keep us posted on your well being, Mitch.

BTW, I had to laugh at the two toned 1700cc water heater comment. I didn't want to laugh, but did.

We've been under the NW quadrant of the eye wall for several hours. We've had sustained winds of over 70 mph and gusts I'd estimate to at least 90 - 100 mph since midnight. We are all good. I don't see any damage to my roof. Hoping the kids mobile homes in the back are OK. No flooding here as of yet. We've been on the dry side of the storm. A little over 1" of rain so far. The wind has been horrendous.

Mitch, you guys hunker down and be safe. Try to avoid the wind and rain.

Just looked at the forecast for Caddo Valley for Fri, Sat and Sun. 100% chance of rain and flooding all day Friday into Saturday. Isolated thunderstorms for Saturday and clearing on Sun. Isaac is moving only at 6 mph. My guess is he will be moving through North Louisiana and Southern Arkansas later than they forecast.

So, due to Isaac... I'm out guys... no surprise, huh? Calling now and canceling reservations.

I've got a trip to the Texas Hill Country planned for the week of September 17th. Then, in October, it's Antlers. Other weekends are already booked. Looking forward to seeing you guys in Antlers.

Trip

Ann and I are out too.

I'm thinking an alternative ride to the HC is in order.

I'm cancelling our reservations for this weekend also, and looking forward to Antlers and have our room booked there. Be safe everyone! Plenty of things to do around the house while this thing drops a ton of rain.

I guess I'm just a follower, I also cancelled. The storm looks like it may have gone thru by Saturday but I just don't want to take that chance. I may use this opportunity to go west, OKC may be an option. Who knows?
I have a New York trip planned on the 20th. Just a quick trip up and back, will probably try and work the trip up into a Saddle Sore 1,000.
