3,300 mile New England Trip

Earlier this week I got back from a 10 day, 14 state trip. I left Blairsville, Ga. with a good friend (DKDixie), one of his neighbors, and Mike (BigSid1). I had my wife with me, and DK had his girlfriend, and his neighbor and Mike were solo. We traveled up thru Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and met up with Classic1 and his wife in West Virginia. We then all traveled up thru Maryland, Pennsylvania, and over into New York where we met up with TC and his wife Cindy. We spent a little time talking, and then TC and Cindy led us on some roads toward the Adirondacks where they parted from us. We then continued on to Lake Champlain where we took a ferry across to Vermont, then into New Hampshire. We then went to Massachusetts, down to Connecticut, and then turned west, back thru New York and back into Pennsylvania. Here Mike (Classic1), his wife, Mike (BigSid1), and Richard(DK's neighbor) headed home. DK, his girlfriend (Marge), and my wife and I, headed west across Pennsylvania into Ohio and to the Amish country (Berlin, OH) where we spent a day. We then turned SW and headed to Kentucky, then back into Tennessee, then back to Georgia.
We had an awesome time, and I want to thank DK & Marge, Mike & Shela, Mike, Richard, and TC & Cindy for the great fellowship on this trip. I pulled a trailer the whole way, and I must say, that with Chuckster's hitch, and The Meanie mods that I've done to my bike, my bike preformed admirably. The only 2 problems I had was my left spotlight quit working (broken wire) and my oil pressure gauge must have got drowned because it started acting funny after we were in a bad down pour (it now works fine). I too was VERY impressed with my new Yokohama Avid Envigor tire on the rear. It handled the rain and wet roads with a 5 star rating. My gas mileage on this 3,300 mile trip overall average was 38.2 mpg, with a low of 32.3, and a high of 41.8 (not too bad pulling a trailer which drops mileage about 7 mpg ) I als must sing praises for my Diamond Custom seat, even after all those miles in the saddle, when I got home, my butt felt like I had ridden across town instead of 3300 miles.

Glad you guys had a great time and without incident. I saw a picture of you looking at a map, guess you didn't trust Dick's GPS, lol.

While we were leading Cliff's group on some roads to the Adirondacks I looked way up the road and saw what I thought was an Amish buggy coming down the road.
As it got closer I could see it was a horse dragging a picnic table, upside down, coming right at us. There were a few Amish women trying to catch up with the horse. The horse was having none of that and kept on truckin'
We all made it by the horse safely when BigSid1 , being the dare devil he is, turns around in the road and catches up with the horse and pulls along side it.
The horse looks over at him and Sid says something to the horse and the horse slows down and stops.
Soooooooooo, guess what we thought Sid's name should be changed to.
Yup, "The Horse Whisperer"
It was great seeing you guys, wish it could have been longer.
